We are pleased to present our 2014 portfolio of wines. This year features three different Rieslings from two vineyard sites as well as our 2011 Tertre Rouge and 2012 ‘Palo Solara Vineyard’ Pinot Noir. All these wines will available to taste at our spring release events but some may be sold out in advance. Dates and details for the events are below.
2013 produced another classic, collectible Storm Haven Riesling that has tremendous cellaring potential and captures the seamless tension and minerality of the vineyard beautifully.
The Thorny Vines Vineyard provided the opportunity for two distinct wines, the regular bottling is similar to the 2012 but with much greater complexity and ripe stone fruit balancing the crisp citrus profile. The half bottles of Botrytis Affected Riesling also produced are a very special wine, finished just off dry it is the ultimate appetizer wine or take it to the park with a picnic. As this wine ages it will become increasingly complex and the nutty, honeyed character of the botrytis will show through more.
A small amount of 2013 Amelia Block Gewurztraminer was produced as the final production of this wine ever!! We have prepared the block for Pinot Noir plantings this spring. Most of this wine went into our wine club cases so act now if you would like to secure some.
