Aged for 21 months in French Oak with 25% new barrels, bottled without fining or filtration. Our blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%) is named after the evocative corner of the Le Mans racing circuit in France, where perfect driver balance and finesse are key to a clean exit leading to one of the longest straightaways in motor racing.

This is a single vineyard wine from Turtle Rock Farms above the Naramata Bench. Carefully tended by the Britton Family, this stunning property has perfect conditions for long slow ripening of Cabernet Franc and Merlot producing fantastic flavour and tannin ripeness while keeping brightness and balance. 2017 produced Merlot of great depth and intensity which takes the forefront in this wine. Freshness from whole cluster fermented Cabernet Franc carries through the palate, lifting the structured Merlot.
''A few years in to the Tertre Rouge program, 2017 has turned the magical corner, so to speak. From Naramata's Turtle Rock Farms, this is an 80/20 blend of merlot and cabernet franc, the latter grape whole cluster. The whole aged 21 months in French oak (25% new) before bottling without fining or filtration. Beautifully knit, with perfumed plum, wild blackberry, perfumed boysenberry on a smooth, silken palate. The whole bunch is judicially used, providing a lovely herbal green lift and subtle herbal bough spicing to the medium+ red. Tannins are long, lithe, and finely grippy, housing this finessed Naramata red to a gently spiced, lingering finish. Really impressive now, and will continue to cellar. 92 points' Treve Ring, Gismondi on Wine. Tasted Jan 12, 2021
