2014 marked the beginning of whole cluster fermentation of the Cabernet Franc from Turtle Rock. With a slower, gentler fermentation the added layers of complexity and texture of this wine demanded a single varietal bottling again. This is a selection of our purest barrel, most reflective of the Turtle Rock site and 2014 growing conditions. 100% whole cluster fermented and aged for 20 months in 100% new oak to integrate the stem tannins.
A massive wine that is somehow deftly laid on the palate by bright acidity and soft textured tannins that coat the mouth.
